endangered animals
this week my class had to find out about endangered animals.
SLJ playing it forward
If I was going to travel back in time to 1930 I will give some food and some water and give them a better place to live.I will also give them some medical care.Help them with the needs and give the little children toys to play with.I will give the elderly the help they need.I will give them some soap to let them have a better wash and a better shower.People back in 1930,s don't have what we have today in 2018 so we should give them lots of love.

Scientific Method Match the Terms
Match these scientific method terms with their definitions.
Experiment
|
A test done to check if a hypothesis is correct or not.
|
Data
|
The results of an experiment in the form of visuals like graphs, etc.
|
Research
|
Facts contained in reference sources that support the data in
an experiment |
Question
|
The problem that needs to be resolved through an experiment
|
Conclusion
|
The result of the experiment that states whether the hypothesis
was correct or incorrect |
Hypothesis
|
A possible answer to the problem/question

identify the variables
this week in term 3 week 8 we had to identify the variables
W.A.L.T identify the variables
Identifying Variables A science experiment has three kinds of variables.
• Independent variable – The factor that changes in an experiment
• Dependent variable – What is being measured in an experiment
• Control variable – The factor that remains constant in an experiment Identify the three variables in the following scenarios
Two groups of fifth graders were tested to compare their speed solving long division problems. One group had calculators, the other didn’t.
What is the dependent variable?
_speed solving___________
_ What is the independent variable? ______
__calculators, _________
___ What is the control variable?
_fifth graders___
_ Students of different grades were given the same jigsaw puzzle to assemble. The time they took to assemble it was measured.
What is the dependent variable?
Time jigsaw
What is the independent variable? __different grades
What is the control variable?
same jigsaw puzzle

animals report(old version)
Your Name: Jasonna
Subject Name: Looking after your pet
Purpose:inform
Audience:to the people who have pets

this is my old and not edited version
Looking after your pet
There many ways to look after your pet.
But it is very important to look after them like feeding them,
training and entertain.
Feeding them
The type of animal you have likes many kind of food
but it depends on what type of animal they are.
Like a dog that likes dry and wet food but in a special
dog kind also some people would also prefer that dogs
could also eat some human food. You would also
need the type of equipment for your pet(
animal)like dogs need a bowl to keep their food in.
You would also need to learn how to feed them and
how they need to eat the food. Most of all which is
important that you don’t give the dog the wrong food.
Because some food can poison them.
Pets are not allowed to eat chocolate, alcohol, avocado
and grapes.
Feed them twice a day
Training
The dog needs training because they are a bit naughty.
Dogs need mats to train on and other dog equipment.
There are many places to train your pet like puppy
preschool(vet) ,at home and outside on the grass.
There are many ways to train your pet like sit down
and giving them a treat saying “good job”.
Entertain
Next is how to entertain your dog.Entertaining
your dog could be
hard because you could get board easily.
But dogs can be more entertaining like faking they
are dead or hug you from behind.
How long do you think playing with them take.
Well playing with them are fun
but it only should
take at least 11 -12 minutes.
Looking after your dog has lots of responsibilities
and lots of action.
Remember to look after your dog properly and feed them
,train and entertain them.Have fun looking after them. :) :)
